Creating a world where opportunity is not limited by disability for our 8,716 athletes across the state of Maryland, is and remains Special Olympics Maryland's sole focus. While the COVID-19 situation has postponed all of our in-person activities, we're not letting that stop us from providing inclusive experiences. Virtual MOVEment is our hub for virtual exercise sessions and social clubs, wellness advice, cooking recipes, and fun games to play at home. We encourage every member of the Special Olympics Maryland family to participate, engage, and stay connected!

Health & Wellness

Physical health and mental health are both so important and we have tons of resources for you to build out your healthy routine with!

Social Clubs

Just because we have to physically distance ourselves from each other, doesn’t mean that we can’t be social! Check out our past Social Clubs.

YAPpy Hours

YAPpy Hour is an 8-week virtual campaign to get our youngest athletes and their family members engaged and active from home!

MOVEment Meetings

Join us on Zoom for our weekly MOVEment Meetings every Friday at noon. Not able to make it? Catch up with our recordings from previous weeks!

Challenges

We challenge you! Test your skills with one of our exercise challenges. Make sure you record yourself doing the challenge and share it!

Quarantine Cuisine

Grab your apron and join our chefs in creating delicious, healthy meals and snacks with ingredients you most likely already have in your pantry!

Our #VirtualMOVEment Member of the Week is none other than athlete leader and LETR Ambassador, Elaina Camacho! Elaina is an incredible role model and has already gotten a head start on her Virtual Plunge this year – check it out here. Great work, Elaina!
