Listen to the voices of SOMD athlete leaders Annu Singleton, Monique Matthews, and David Godoy reading our DEI statement.

In 2020, Special Olympics Maryland formed its first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion task force. Our task force consists of 12 staff members, 2 board members, 1 volunteer, and most importantly 3 Special Olympics Maryland athlete leaders. We meet once a month to discuss social justice-related topics and how our organization can play a role in educating our team and our community. Inclusion is the core of Special Olympics and we invite you to join in the conversation and continue learning with us.
