Unified Flag Football Coming to Schools Near You!

Unified Teammates playing at Fall Sports Fest – Community Program

While Baseball may be considered America’s Sport, Football seems to be king when it comes to viewership in the United States. In the past Super Bowl match-up between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, a record 113 million viewers tuned in for the game. This number continues to climb every year, and now you’ll be able to watch and get involved with the growing Flag Football movement across Special Olympics Maryland!

Middle Schools: In the fall of 2022 the Baltimore City Public School system began participating in Flag Football at the Middle School level and saw tremendous turnout thanks to the work of Tonisha Montgomery, Coordinator of Athletics, and her team. Teams from multiple city schools came out to not only compete but train on a weekly basis to cultivate their skills and relationships with their Unified Teammates!
