Young Athletes: Year in Review

Young Athletes is expanding across Maryland, in schools, and in your home. 4 new counties joined our program, 257 classrooms are engaged in programming, and the at-home program is teaching 266 Young Athletes. In the Community

  • Programs in Mt. Airy, Frederick, Howard, Baltimore, Kent, Worcester, Montgomery, and working actively on Queen Annes.
    • Mt Airy, Baltimore, Worcester, and Kent are new this year.
  • Well, over 150 young athletes attended.

School

  • 3,660 athletes engage not including Charles County.
  • 11 counties and EHS/HS are engaged.
    • Welcome Washington and Queen Annes!
    • Anne Arundel Special Schools: Marley Glen and Ruth Parker Easton are now involved!
  • 257 classrooms engaged.
    • Include PE and classroom settings.

  • Creation of the Future Champions program
  • Seeing more in at-home services including early childhood intervention, individualized family service plans, physical therapy, occupational therapy

  • Towson University and Hood students running and volunteering at YAP events.
