In order to best prepare you to vote the Special Olympics Maryland Athlete Leadership Program is offering 5 opportunities to learn more about the upcoming vote. Lesson 1: SHARING YOUR STORY "The purpose of the Athlete Spokesperson training course is to: Train athletes the required leadership skills that will allow them to participate effectively as Athlete Spokesperson. Athletes are able to share their stories through different means (verbally, traditional media, social media, etc.) Athletes lead the messaging on Special Olympics."
Join alternating athlete leader hosts as they host a 30-minute training in one of the areas of Strength, Flexibility, Endurance, and Balance. These sessions will be held on the second Tuesday of every month.
Take a moment and get together with old friends and maybe meet some new friends. We will share what is good in our lives and then answer a question or two about ourselves if time allows. Plus maybe if we have time there will be a 30 Second Dance Party
Special Olympics Maryland athletes host a game night monthly. Bingo, Jeopardy, etc.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is also called the Moon Festival or the Mooncake Festival. It traditionally falls on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, which is in September or early October on the Gregorian calendar.
